Monitoring the effect of fatigue on the quality of selected physical exercises through 3D kinematic analysis.
Smetana, Matěj ; Bedáňová, Kamila (referee) ; Adamík, Richard (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on determining the effect of fatigue on physical activity, for this purpose, kinematic analysis was used. The measured exercise was a front squat, in which two measurements were made, one without the effect of fatigue and the other with the effect of fatigue. The two measurements were compared.
Monitoring the activity of selected groups of skeletal muscles during squats on balance pads using EMG.
Šidla, Jiří ; Bedáňová, Kamila (referee) ; Adamík, Richard (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of monitoring the activity of selected groups of skeletal muscles during squats on balance pads. Thigh muscles of 21 probands (21,81 ± 2,06 years old, 184,53 ± 5,19 cm, 72,50 ± 4,75 kg) were measured using EMG when they did squats without balance pad and with five balance pads (BOSU concavely, BOSU convexly, T-bow, foam pad and Vicore). Ten of these persons was measured also with inflatable balance pod. Mean and mean of the 10 highest peaks of filtered and normalised measured signals were statistically analysed. There were some statistic differences of both parametres between measurement without balance pad and measurements with some balance pads (BOSU concavely, BOSU convexly, Vicore and balance pod) using analysis of all thigh muscles together, analysis of anterior-posterior stability and analysis of dexter-sinister stability. There were some statistic differences between these balance pads and the other two pads (T-bow, foam pad).
Neuromuscular control of motor units in strength and coordination dependant tasks for lower limbs
Šádek, Petr ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Ravnik, David (referee) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Neuromuscular control of motor units in strength and coordination dependent tasks for lower limbs. Objective: To compare muscle activity on the level of motor units through decomposition of surface electromyography signal from vastus medialis during given strength and coordination oriented movement tasks and to describe eventual differences in the parameters of tracked motor units in regards to given movement tasks. To assess the quality of chosen method for describing the muscle activity control on the level of motor units for further possible applications in the research and clinical environment. To summarize relevant knowledge acquired through the decomposition method of surface electromyography signal regarding the control of movement, motor unit activation and other relevant informations for clinical environment. Method: Theoretical part of the work presents the decomposition method, the process of its evolution and its constituent parts in the context of electromyographic evaluation of muscles along with selected chapters of neuromuscular kinesiology on the level of motor units. The experimental portion of presented thesis was carried out on 12 probands in the age of 23,2 (+- 5,3) years, who were instructed to perform the selected movement tasks of single leg squat in two different...

The comparison of the Prague squaterš media image in national newspaper Mladá fronta DNES during years 2000 and 2009
Vorlová, Hana ; Láb, Filip (advisor) ; Křeček, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis named The comparison of the Prague squatter's media image in national newspaper Mladá fronta DNES during years 2000 and 2009 informs about squatter's subculture. The Quantitative Content Analysis describes, how is this subculture represented in newspaper Mladá fronta DNES. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare squater's media image during years 2000 and 2009.
The comparative study of predication equations for value calculation 1-RM at the squat and the dead lift.
Radovnický, Jiří ; Fedák, Josef (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
Titel: The comparative study of predication equations for value calculation 1-RM at the squat and the dead lift. Aim: To evaluate the most exact equation for the calculation 1-RM on the basis of comparation of extracted data with predication equations at the squat and the dead lift. Research complex: The research complex is created by the soldiers of Army of Czech Republic. They are the men at the age from 20 to 40 with health classification A. Used methods: The comparative method with the using of experimental testing. Results: By the mutual comparation of data we have found out, that the most exact predication equation for the calculation 1-RM in a squat or in a dead lift is from the authors O'Conner et al. Squat was predicted with correlation coefficient r = 0.975 and deadlift with a value of r = 0.951. Keywords: sqaut, dead lift, 1-RM, prediction equation, correlation coefficient.
Compensatory exercise for powerlifting athletes
Karásková, Petra ; Kejhová, Eva (advisor) ; Kajzar, Jiří (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT First name and surname: Petra Karásková Supervisor: Ing. Eva Kejhová Title of the bachelor thesis: Compensatory exercise for powerlifting athletes Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of using compensatory exercise for powerlifting competitors. In the theoretical part compensatory exercise, powerlifting, the biomechanics of its individual disciplines, injuries in powerlifting and deep stabilization system was described. The practical part includes case reports of two patients. The target group consist of male competitors in powerlifting. Two patients, with pain in the low back area, were participating in total seven weeks of therapy. The therapy occurred one to two times a week. The results were evaluated on the basis of subjective score of pain and objectively using tests on deep stabilization system by Kolář. PhysioSensing was used as another objective method to evaluate the results, where static analysis, limits of stability and weight distribution on the lower limbs at different degrees of flexion in the knee joints was measured. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map available literature related to compensatory exercise in relationship with powerlifting. Furthermore, raising awareness among powerlifters about the possibilities of prevention and compensation and...
The effect of compensatory exercises in ice hockey players of younger school age with focus on the evaluation of selected parameters of stability, coordination and movement stereotypes
Tvrdík, Jan ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title: The effect of compensatory exercises in ice hockey players of younger school age with focus on the evaluation of selected parameters of stability, coordination and movement stereotypes Objectives: The objective of this thesis was to verify the effect of compensatory exercises on stability, coordination and movement stereotypes in ice-hockey players of younger school age (8-12 years old). Specifically, the objective was to verify stated effect on dynamic stability, static stability of the trunk, execution of selected stereotypes, coordination and performance in specific test on ice. Methods: Data for this thesis were collected using quantitative form of research. The whole research population was composed of 75 probands with the average age of 10,3 years and who play actively ice-hockey. The population was composed of both sexes, males and females (boys and girls). Participants were divided into two groups - experimental (n = 43) and control (n = 32). To collect the values of measurements was used method of testing with clinical tests and to eliminate disturbing elements we also used the method of questionnaire. The values were collected in input and output sessions. The time spacing between those two measurements was 3 months. Between stated two measurements in experimental group took place...
